Hip Hop/ Afro-pop artiste, Kofi Mole is feeling the pressure to succeed and not be a one-time hitmaker after gaining popularity with his song, ‘Don’t be late’.
According to Graphic Showbiz, the Ground Up act says he has seen many artistes get a great buzz about their brands but fade out along the way and he does not want the same to befall him.
“I’m very proud of the success that I’m enjoying but at the same time, I feel the pressure to succeed. There’s this unpredictable nature about Ghanaians and you don’t know which songs they will accept or reject.
“For instance, until the release of ‘Too late’, I had released other songs that in my estimation, should have shot me to fame but it was ‘Too Late’ that gave me the attention.
“That kept me wondering how I could sustain my newfound fame because sincerely, I don’t know what the listeners want.
What I thought should be a hit never happened and the song I least expected is getting all the buzz. This is my headache and I’m under pressure not to be a one-time hitmaker”, he said.
Kofi Mole who is signed to Ground Up Records came into the limelight in 2018 with ‘Mensah’ and won this year’s Best New Act of 3MUSIC Awards.
