Sarkodie has been mentioned as the next Ghanaian to earn a nomination in the 2021 MTV Africa Music Awards.
He has been nominated in the Listeners’ Choice Award category.
The ‘Highest’ rapper will be competing with about nineteen (19) artistes from eighteen (18) different African countries.
He was nominated alongside Anna Joyce (Angola), AsaphAfrika (Zimbabwe), Dagi D (Ethiopia), DBNGOGO & DJ Dinho (South Africa), Didi B (Cote D’Ivoire), Drizilik (Sierra Leone), Focalistic (South Africa), Khaligraph Jones (Kenya), Locko (Cameroon) and Malome Vector (Lesotho), Meddy (Rwanda).
Others are Mohamed Ramadan (Egypt), Ngaaka Blindé (Senegal), Pallaso, (Uganda), Rayvanny (Tanzania), Shirazee (Benin), DJ Slick Stuart, DjRoja_ (Uganda), Souhila Ben Lachhab (Algeria) and Tiwa Savage (Nigeria).
This year’s MTV Africa Music Awards will be hosted virtually on February 20, 2021, at Kampala, Uganda.
