Ghanaian rapper Guru has revealed that he spends about GH¢150,000 (about $23,000) a month and GH¢10,000 (about $1,500) daily.
In an interview with famous Ghanaian blogger Zionfelix, Guru said that his monthly expenses include school fees, meetings, and settling the expenses of people who look up to him.
He also said that he has to give money to fans whenever he is in town, or else he will be stuck in traffic.
“As an artiste in Ghana, to survive and be comfortable, you need to have GH¢10,000 in your wallet daily,” Guru said.
He juxtaposed his spending, saying that it is necessary for him to maintain his status as a celebrity. He also said that he gives back to society through his charity work.
“I am not extravagant… I am just living my life to the fullest.” He added
