Former fetish priestess turned evangelist, Patricia Asiama, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has addressed the circumstances under which the Acting Chief Executive of the Ghana Gold Board and National Communications Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi, gave her a large amount of money in dollars.
In a viral video, Nana Agradaa clarified that she was the one who asked Sammy Gyamfi for money to buy fuel, something she regularly does when meeting with ministers.
“I’ve seen all the commentary following Sammy Gyamfi’s kind gesture, with some people claiming that I insulted President Mahama. Let me set the record straight, I was the one who asked him for some money to buy fuel. Whenever I meet ministers, I usually do that,” she stated.
She also questioned why bloggers left out the part where she went on her knees to apologise to JM and Lordina Mahama.
“Why did they leave that part out?” she asked, suggesting that her apology had been deliberately downplayed.
Nana Agradaa further disclosed that Sammy Gyamfi gave her personal advice, urging her to avoid insulting others and to focus on her pastoral mission rather than engaging in politics.
“Sammy Gyamfi advised me to refrain from insulting Owusu Bempah. He said I should not be actively involved in politics and should rather focus on my pastoral work,” she explained.
She added that her husband also knelt down to apologise to Sammy Gyamfi.
The controversy began after a video emerged showing Gyamfi publicly handing over a large sum of dollars to Agradaa, sparking heated discussion across social media platforms.
