Cast members of the popular Ghanaian television series YOLO have come together to raise funds for their colleague and friend, John Peasah, popularly known as Drogba, following his ongoing health challenges.
In a video shared on social media on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, the actors appealed to the public to support Drogba through a GoFundMe initiative, urging citizens to contribute in any way they can.
According to the cast, no amount of support is too small, as every contribution could help improve his condition. They also called on individuals or institutions with lasting medical solutions to reach out and offer assistance.
Drogba rose to fame through his role in the widely acclaimed YOLO series but was diagnosed with a demyelinating disease in 2024. The actor has since been battling a neurological condition believed to be Stiff Person Syndrome, which causes severe pain, muscle stiffness, and double vision.
In August 2024, reports emerged alleging that the actor had been healed after visiting a church for prayers. However, Drogba later refuted those claims, stating that his condition persisted and renewing his call for support.
The cast described the GoFundMe initiative as a collective effort to help Drogba access the necessary medical care and reach individuals who may be in a position to assist.
