Ghanaian Culture Ambassador and CEO of the Guba Network Akosua Dentaa Amoateng MBE is encouraging local music creators to join the Recording Academy to ensure stronger representation for African artistes at the Grammy Awards.
She shared the call to action on her Instagram page urging fellow artistes, songwriters, producers, engineers, and music creators to seize the opportunity to make their voices heard.
“Let’s all join the Recording Academy so we can vote for our people,” Dentaa wrote.
She emphasised that the more Ghanaian and African creatives are part of the Academy, the greater their influence in shaping recognition of African culture, music, and excellence on a global stage.
