The second edition of Eastern Music Awards will be held at at St. Bakhita Parish Hall in Koforidua on Saturday, December 8, 2018.
The award scheme is aimed at rewarding the creative works of musicians who either come from the Eastern Region or reside there.
The event is organised by Hi 5 Empire in collaboration with the Eastern Region Chapter of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) and the Presenters Association of the Eastern Region (PATER)
Performing on the night are Choirmaster of Praye fame, Dada Hafco, Tee Rhyme, Nuru Shaba, Koo Kyei, Kobi Isaac, Bisa K Dei and Kurl Songs.
Others are Xylo, Amazen Gee, among others.
The award ceremony will be hosted for the second time by Citi FM journalist, Kwame Dadzie (formerly of Vision FM in Koforidua) as Starr TV hosts Jah Solo and Atisem Hemaa take care of the red carpet.
Last year, Eastern Music Awards honoured veteran highlife artiste Abirekyireba Kofi Sammy for the Lifetime Achievement award.
This year, the same honour will be conferred on gospel giant Elder Emmanuel Akwasi Mireku.
There are a total of 25 categories to be awarded on the night.
