Ghanaian artiste based in the United Kingdom, Fuse ODG has named some artistes that will be performing at his TINA Festival on January 4, 2019.

He made this announcement at the BBNZ office in Accra on Friday, December 14, 2018 at a press soiree to unveil activities for the festival.

Some artistes to support him at Round Pavilion at Trade Fair Centre in Accra on January 4, 2019 are Ghanaian rap giant Sarkodie, British artiste Stefflon Don, Ghanaian musician Joey B and Lethal Bizzle, an English rapper of Ghanaian descent.

The aim of the annual TINA Festival is to become the home of Afrobeat music, an African sound that has captured the attention of many music lovers worldwide.

TINA Festival will be to Afrobeat what Glastonbury is to Rock music. Beyond the music and the lifestyle, the festival will also promote the continent and Ghana in particular; becoming a catalyst for tourism and investment.

The festival will be a day party populated with a market fair and activities, and then an evening concert with performances from the aforementioned acts.

Fuse ODG has been using his music and influence to promote Ghana and Africa in a way that has never been done before. He is famous not only for his music and helping the rise of Afrobeats world-wide.

The concert dubbed ‘Tina Fest’ [This is the new Africa] will display the rich African culture, including wearing Kente cloth.

In reuniting the Global African Diaspora, the Tina Festival will be part of a wider series of events over three days held at Ghana’s most iconic venues.

The programme started on 2nd January 2019 with National Builders Day where volunteers will be invited to support his Fuse ODG’s school in Akosombo which was started in 2007 by This Is New Africa (TINA) and Wood World Mission Charity.

They will also paint the school, interact with the pupils and inspire them.

On January 3, 2019 there shall be the Global Diaspora Conference and Exhibition at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The Global Diaspora conference will be looking at discussions and talks from top thought leaders from the continent on how to take Africa beyond aid and how to mobilize the sleeping giant of the Diaspora.

Speakers for the conference include President Nana Akufo-Addo, Samia Nkrumah – Political activist, Reggie Yates – BBC TV broadcaster and Ama K Abebrese – Actress.

Others are Chaka Bars of I Heart Africa and Fuse ODG.
