Reports reaching channelforafrica indicate that multiple Grammy award winner and R&B/Hip-Hop legend Lauryn Hill will lead a strong contingent of international stars to shut down the second edition of the Afrochella Concert slated for the El-Wak stadium on December 29, 2018.
Solange Knowles- whose sister Beyonce and her husband Jay Z thrilled in South Africa only weeks ago- will get her turn to shine on this continent as she joins a high-power Hollywood delegation which includes comedian Michael Blankson, celebrated screen stars Idris Elba and Boris Codjoe, and some 20 others enroute Ghana for the yuletide – although Culture Management Group [CMG], organizers of the event, have opted to neither confirm nor deny the report.
The Coachella annual festival is one of Africa’s pioneer events for vogue indigenous culture.
The carnival exhibits and elevates the best millennial talents in culture, culinary, fashion, music and arts.
This year’s event will feature a cocktail of musical experiences from musicians of diverse backgrounds, genres and generations.
Among the native acts billed to perform are Highlife legend Daddy Lumba, BET nominee Kwesi Arthur, AFRIMA winner Stonebwoy, as well as new school leaders, La Meme Gang and Cina Soul.
