The history of Ghana’s music cannot be written without the mention of Da Hammer known in real life as Edward Nana Poku Osei, CEO of The Last Two Music Group.
The legendary music producer who is known for producing lots of hit songs in the past and grooming some of the nation’s finest artiste has said in an interview that, music has not made him as much money as his new found bread business is making him.
Hammer who has found new love selling bread admitted that his decision to go into baking and selling of bread is in line with his quest to empower the youth.
He told Kwame B on the Di Wu Lane Mu Show on Kasapa 102.5Fm, he is making more money doing the bread business as compared to music.
He has partnered the owner of popular A1 bread, Godfred Obeng Boateng, to expand the sales point of the bread from Kumasi to Accra.
“Music only got me more fans than money that is why I decided to do the bread business.” Da Hammer said on Kasapa FM
Hammer is known for grooming some of the best Ghanaian Hip Hop or Hiplife artists, including Obrafour, Tinny, Kwaw Kese, Sarkodie, Ayigbe Edem, and others.
As a producer, he is credited as one of the pioneers and key figures in the popularization of Hiplife or Hip Hop made in Ghana.
