Gospel musician Empress Gifty, formerly known as Gifty Osei has advised married people not to rely on pastors when they have issues in their marriages.

The gospel musician who got married to politician Hopeson Adorye a few months ago told Adom FM in an interview that the more one runs to people when they encounter problems, the more they make mistakes.

“If you have a problem, don’t go to your pastor, spiritual mother, and fathers. The people you are talking to even wants what you have. You have to run to God,” she advised.

“Running to pastors, spiritual mothers and fathers will only deepen your woes”, Mrs. Adorye added.

The ‘Adom’ singer believes that the best way to solve marital problems is for couples to have deeper communication their partners.

“The more you run to people the more you make mistakes. Talk to your spouse first. If you want to part ways, it shouldn’t result in a fight and it shouldn’t be a yoke upon your life,” she further stated.

Gifty Osei divorced from her first husband of 10 years, Prophet Prince Elisha Osei a few years ago.

On Friday December 28, 2018 she got married to a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Hopeson Adorye in Tema.

According to her some friends and colleagues in the gospel music industry contributed to the collapse of her first marriage.

Gifty has songs like ‘Aseda,’ ‘Yento Nkyea,’ ‘Jesus Be Too Much,’ ‘Obi Nse Wo’, among others.
