Tiwa Savage on Thursday signed an international recording deal with America’s biggest music record label Universal Music group.
This means that the singer and songwriter has left Don Jazzy’s Marvin Records after 7 years with the group.
Don Jazzy penned an emotional farewell message to one of his biggest acts as she begins a new adventure.
He posted this on his Instagram page thanking her for a wonderful 7 years together.
He wrote: “Our darling Tiwatope. We at Mavin would like to say a very big thank you for being such an inspiration to all of us, a friend, a sister.
“It’s been an epic journey with you and we are very proud of what we have achieved together.
“As you start this new chapter in your life we want you to know that we are solidly behind you and can’t wait for the world to see what we have always believed you can be.
“Your jersey as the First Lady of Mavin will forever be yours as we do not intend to fill that position with anyone else.
“We love you from the bottom of heart and pray GOD’s blessings continue to follow you. Amennnn.”
Tiwa Savage took to her Instagram page reply to Don Jazzy’s post.
She expressed her gratitude to Don Jazzy and recounted the countless selfless acts he did for her.
She even recalled how the whole crew stuck with her and helped her while recording her album in her pregnant state.
It was all love and emotions as the two said goodbye. Tiwa Savage prayed that their relationship never changes and that she only wants to make Don Jazzy proud.
