With likes of Lionel Pieterson, Don Moen and other international gospel acts, finding a home in Ghana at one point or another the Ghanaian Gospel Music scene has stayed vibrant and attracted much credence.

Tommy Walker who is an American worship leader, composer of contemporary worship music, author and recording artist behind major medleys like, “He Knows My Name”, has arrived in Ghana ahead of the Sweet Aroma Worship event.

As part of activities leading up to the event, the worship leader was at Sunny FM on Wednesday 8th May, where he interacted with Dan Peters and was interviewed.

Rev. Michael Griffiths explained that the Newsong Ministries decided to bring Tommy Walker in for Sweet Aroma, due to Bishop Dag Heward Mills’ love for the worship leader and the impact he has made across the globe.

Speaking exclusively after the interview, Tommy Walker stated that he is excited to visited Ghana, after visiting African countries like South Africa, Kenya, Egypt and Zimbabwe, as he described his Ghanaian experience as joy.

The “Will You Remember”, hitmaker asserted that he will be playing with his band from Los Angeles, at the various venues. “I’ve brought an incredible team from Los Angeles; some really gifted people, to serve and do whatever they can do. I can’t wait for Ghana to experience their great musicianship, as we worship”, Mr. Walker said.

Sweet Aroma’s line up begins from the Logos Rhema Foundation on Saturday at 6pm and continues to First Love Church on Sunday for the same time.

The events will climax with a breakfast meeting at Alisa Hotel at 8am on Monday, May 13, 2019.
