Artistes and Repertoire Manager of Zylofon Music, Lawrence Asiama Hanson, also known as Bulldog, has given reason why Shatta Wale and his team went on stage at the 2019 VGMA t when Stonebwoy went on stage to receive an award.
Speaking on Citi TV’s ‘Point of View’ on Monday, Bulldog said one of Shatta Wale’s team members told him at the police station that Shatta Wale went forward to greet a minister at the front seat after which one of his guys told him to go congratulate Stonebwoy.
He said Shatta’s father had said the Minister of Foreign Affairs Minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botwe wanted to see him at the front row.
So he went forward when Stonebwoy was announced as winner of Reggae/Dancehall.
“The dad called him and said the minister wanted to see him. He had a seat already at the front. So he was saying he wanted to sit behind with his boys but he father asked him to come forward.” He said.
Bulldog added that while at the front seat, one of Shatta Wale’s boys told him Stonebwoy had won the Dancehall Artiste of the Year award so they should go congratulate him.
On May 18, 2019 there was a scuffle between dancehall artistes Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale when the latter joined the former on stage when the former was announced as winner of the Dancehall Artiste of the Year.
While the scuffle was ongoing, Stonebwoy pulled a gun.
The two who were taken into police custody have been granted bail.
