Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, known in showbiz as Sarkodie, has in a series of tweets, proffered advice to musicians on how live in harmony.
In one of his tweets he urged his colleagues in the industry to control on their emotions when their egos get higher.
“With an industry dominated by men , egos will always be up but again as men we need to control our emotions ( very hard to do ) but it’s a must. Our reflexes might lead us to make wrong choices and we definitely have to work on em,”he tweeted.
He said, as Ghanaians, there was a lot of work to do to break boundaries – and that should be the Ghanaian musician’s main preoccupation.
“There’s is a bigger picture out there for Us ( musicians ) to look at … Ghana is doing well on the international scene and we need to keep pushing for higher heights… We don’t have time to be distracted,” he wrote.
Implicitly making reference to the recent brawl between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, he noted that even though he could be angered by Shatta Wale (and vice versa), he would never despise him even when his emotions fare up.
“My brother SHATTA-WALE can get me mad ( cos I’m human ) and I have every right to… same as him but I will never ever Let that take away how dope this brother is in my eyes … and he knows that for sure !,” he added.
Since the confusion at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards where Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were engaged in a scuffle, a lot of people have called on artistes to be more united and do away with violent tendencies.
