The board of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has announced that it has nullified the two awards that were not given at the 2019 edition of the award show.
Addressing the press on Thursday (May 23, 2019), the chairman of the board, Amandzeba Nat Brew said that the two awards (Most Popular song of the year and Artiste of the year) have been made null and void.
“…the two remaining awards that were unannounced on that night, that is the most popular song of the year and the artiste f the year have for the 20th edition been nullified,” Amandzeba said at the press conference.
The two have also been stripped of any award that they won on the night.
“The two artistes are hereby stripped of all awards they won at the 20th VGMA and are thus requested by the board to return all plaques in their possession to Charterhouse effective immediately.”
