Highlife musician, Akosua Agyepong has thrown her support behind Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi, Chairman of the Greater Accra MUSIGA, for the union’s Presidency.
Ras Caleb is contesting the position Bessa Simons who is the 1st Vice President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) in the upcoming general elections.
According to Akosua, her choice of Caleb stems from the fact that he has done a lot for the Greater Accra Regional chapter of the union unlike Bessa Simons who did nothing as Vice President to Bice ‘Obour’ Osei Kuffour.
“I will go for Caleb Appiah. I believe he has something better to offer. Bessa Simons was Vice President. What did he do? He could not advise Obour to improve the union. What else does he have for us?” she asked.

She also chose Rev. Thomas Yawson over Richie Mensah for the 1st Vice President position.
She made this statement in an interview with Halifax Ansah-Addo on Okay FM’s ‘BEST Entertainment Show on Monday.
The union will be holding its National Elections on June 26, 2019.
