The lucrative nature of the business side of music hasn’t stopped singer Kidi from refusing to charge colleague musicians and even up-and-coming ones for song features.
Speaking in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Friday, Kidi said it made no sense for him to charge before jumping on a song.
He told Andy Dosty that, “I’ve never charged for a feature. Usually I listen to the song with my team and when its good I jump on it.”
Kidi, who doubles as music producer, added that, “I reproduce the song if the need be but I don’t charge.”
Asked why he decided not to charge for features, Kidi simply said, “I don’t charge because we are all trying to get to the top. I don’t think it’s right to do that.”
