The peace conference held at the Marriot Hotel in Accra for Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale recorded one of the memorable moments in the lives of the two acts.
While talking about the fact that he has changed for the better and was all for peace with his ‘brother’ Stonebwoy, the dancehall king, Shatta Wale, moved closer and to Stonebwoy and gave him a peck on the cheek.
The presser was organised by Kofi Abban Foundation to help foster peace and unity among the two acts.
The dancehall artists were at the centre of controversy after Stonebwoy brandished a gun on stage in response to Shatta Wale and his entourage’s movement towards the stage.
The two were later arrested before being granted bail of GHc50,000 each after the incident.
They were also suspended indefinitely from the VGMAs and ordered to return the three awards they picked up between them on the night.
As part of the unity move, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy will be staging a unity concert following the tensions that culminated in the confusion at the 2019 Ghana Music Awards.
