Ghanaian songstress, Rebecca Acheampong, known in showbiz as Becca has responded to claims that she’s been disrespectful to her mother.
Social media was awash with talks about Becca and her mother about a week ago after the latter had told ghanacelebrities.com that Becca’s husband Dr Daniel Tobi had described her a witch.
Becca’s mother also expressed worry about how her daughter did not inform her of the birth of her granddaughter.
A few days after Becca’s father released a statement to dispel allegations made by her mother, Becca has told Andy Dosty in an interview on Hitz FM that issues of their family would be resolved by the family and not the media.
She also said she really loves her mother and would not disrespect her.
“My mum is someone that I will not disrespect. I love my mum and she knows I do. It’s unfortunate that things had to come out the way it did, but we will settle the matter at home,” she said.
When asked by Andy Dosty if she had called her mother to resolve the issue, she said she was yet to do that.
“No matter what I do, she was the one that gave birth to me. I can never change that so people should leave the matter for the family to solve,” she added.
She finally apologised to her mother for reports that her husband had spoken rudely to her.
