Winners of Miss Ghana 2019 have been in the news lately after their pictures surfaced on social media.
They have been trolled for being ugly and unintelligent after some photos of them surfaced on social media about a week ago.
But in their defence, they say they have inner beauty and Ghanaians shouldn’t just look at physical beauty.
“I think beauty goes beyond the physical so Ghanaians please don’t just look at the physical. We have inward beauty as well so I guess that is it. I think everybody gets a bad hair day, a bad makeup day, a bad dress day so it was just like that. If someone as big as Tiwa Savage can get a bad hair day, I mean it’s normal. It happens”, the first runner up said in an interview on Gh One TV.
They added that they weren’t bothered when they were being trolled on social media and that people rise against everything that has a future.
“Everything that has a future people rise against it so me I just ‘chork’ and I was just watching people bashing us and saying ugly things about us and I was like okay fine it’s normal, it will come and you have to prepare for it”, the queen stated.
“For me honestly it wasn’t about makeup or anything. Look at the camera, look at the picture quality and everything. Look at the picture quality. A Samsung or iPhone wouldn’t give you such a picture. I’m sorry but I think the person took the picture whilst watching some ‘etikopo’ tv bi or something like that but then we’re good”, the second runner up said.
They concluded that this wouldn’t prevent them from ever contesting even in if they are reborn. “ If I’m reborn 10 times I’ll still contest for Miss Ghana. This is a life-changing experience”, the Queen said.
Miss Ghana beauty pageant is organised by Exclusive Events Ghana Limited.
