The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is being ejected from their office due to the ongoing Marine Drive Project by the government.
The Marine Drive Project was designed years ago to develop the entire beach from the Christianborg Castle in Osu to the Baden Powell Memorial Hall.
The MUSIGA Office is reported to fall within the Marine Drive Enclave. The building is dilapidated and unscrambles.
It also houses the headquarters of the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), and the conference hall has also been rented out to a church.
The building has housed MUSIGA duties over the years.
In the meantime, MUSIGA has no office to operate from. Some have criticized them for not being able to secure an office for themselves.
However, President Nana Akufo-Addo has promised to provide an office for the union before of the Year.
He said this at this year’s MUSIGA Grand Ball.
