New signee on Ruff Town Records, Fantana, has said on Hitz FM’s ‘Daybreak Hitz’ that there it is not wrong for people to liken her to the late Ebony Reigns.
She said she shares similarities of deep voice with the late musician and that she is not imitating her.
“I’m not gonna lie, we have similarities in our voice but we both have deep voices and so of course in my music you’ll probably hear some things that sound like her. I think it’s just normal”, she said.
When asked if her new song, ‘So What’ belonged to Ebony, she said she wrote it with her manager, Bullet.
“We were in the car and he wrote it in the car. We were driving, the beat was playing and he was like okay and I was writing down the words on my phone. And he was singing it and I was writing it. Then we went to the studio and recorded it the same day”, she said.
She added that she did not get to meet Ebony.
“We had mutual friends but I didn’t get to meet her”, she said.
