Weeks ago, a picture of Wendy Shay in scrubs trended on social media with people saying she was quitting music to go back to nursing.
She has opened up on the issue explaining that she wasn’t doing so great back in Germany as a nurse and only shared the picture to thank God and everyone who had helped her in her music career so far.
According to her, “my house got burnt, and I was reminiscing. I was thinking about everything that I went through. I saw that picture, and I was like wow, this is an inspirational picture because I remember when I used to do this work I had to wake up around 4 am to chase trains. That I lived in Germany didn’t mean that I was living in gold or that I had so much money. I was a nurse, but I still had to hustle. When I look back and I look at my life now I feel like God has done so much for me so I just wanted to take that opportunity to say thank you to God, Bullet and the Shay Gang and everybody who has helped me this far so I wasn’t trying to say I’ve stopped music or anything like that. I was trying to be grateful cos I really have gone through a lot and God has put me through,” she said.
She concluded that she is living a better life now to have the platform to showcase her talent, talk for the voiceless and be herself.
