Weeks after some Kumawood filmmakers stormed parliament to demand that a film village is built in Kumasi, actor Nana Tornado says Kumawood is dead.
Tornado in an interview with Ghana Weekend TV stated that Kumawood is dead.
According to him, there is nothing like acting in Ghana anymore.
He said he does not see the movie industry producing movies lately and that is the reason he has not made his mind up to get back to the film industry.
“You know there is nothing like acting in Ghana no more? For what I know, everything is gone. I don’t see Kumawood shooting, I see petty petty individual people shooting and they have their own cast they wanna work with”, he said.
When asked if he watches Ghanaian movies, he said he does not remember the last time he did.
“Everybody in Ghana knows Kumawood is dead”, he reiterated.
