A few weeks ago, a video of musician Fameye that suggested he slapped his manager Ogidi Brown surfaced on social media.
Fameye was on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM with Jay Foley today and explained what really happened.
He said it was normal for him to fight with his manager but there was no slap.
Rather, bloggers tweaked the whole scenario for clicks on their websites.
“There was no slap in the video. It was some of our bloggers that gave that headline because of small views wey man go get for youtube you wan spoil your brother”, he explained.
“Someone was videoing me without my knowledge and I told him not to video me so I smashed the phone. That was all. It was a normal artiste and manager argument, so it was normal for me to argue with my manager. I apologized even though I didn’t slap my manager, I apologized and was expecting everything will be cool”, he added.
“It took me only that video to make me know this is what my management can do. After that video, I called my manager three times but he didn’t pick so I sent him a message- “boss I love you, let’s forget”. Although I didn’t slap him I apologized. And the guy who made that video is his friend and I didn’t expect the video to be out the next morning after apologizing”, he reiterated.
Narrating the whole scenario, he said, “ In the video, this is what I said: so I was in Europe for two weeks, I first went to Germany everything was fine the first few days until three days and I started complaining about them not promoting my song ‘nothing I get’ remix. The message I got from my manager was the song is Pasco so I was pained and from that day nobody chats me from the group inside. I stressed in Europe all alone, nobody minded me till I got to Italy”, he said.
“Wey they know say money come edey close to me wey edey come take money so in the video that’s what I was saying. I was like boss did you come for money or you came for my welfare or you came for my show? And he said he came for money and I said then I won’t give to you then”, he concluded.
He, however, said the relationship between himself and his manager is fine and that he has no idea what is going on that there is always a headline of bad blood between him and his manager.
