For a long time now the war between Nigeria and Ghana over whose Jollof is the best still remains a ‘question for the gods’ to answer.
However, another person who has tasted Jollof from both countries and was named a winner is Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson.
In an interview on BBC pidgin, she said Ghana Jollof, precisely Fante made Jollof is the best.
According to her, Nigeria Jollof is not nice because it looks as if they don’t have tomatoes in their country.
“Ah but you paa this one too ebe question? Of course Ghana Jollof, not just Ghana Jollof o, Ghana Fante Jollof even that one sef they get the difference. Oh, of course, I taste Nigeria Jollof,” she said.
“As I dey Ghana, afi answer freely. Nigeria Jollof erh ebi like them no get tomatoes for that country,” she added.
