Ghanaian popular artiste, Fancy Gadam has mentioned in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz that a major problem facing musicians in the Northern Region is inadequate television stations.
He said currently there are two television stations but they need more.
He went on to say there are lots of talents in the North that need promotion and not just him.
“I’ll say we still need more tv stations and then I don’t want to limit myself to the north alone so I think the promoters here need to support we too not only Fancy Gadam alone. There are a lot of talents from the North so they should support everybody,” he said.
When asked why he did not feature Ghanaian hip hop artiste who is also based in the north, Maccasio on any song on the album, he said there is no reason but if the need arises to ever feature him in the future, he would.
“Yeah if the need arises,” he stated.
When Andy Dosty questioned if Maccasio was not featured because he is his rival, he replied, “Rival? Rival? I don’t think I have a rival. I don’t have a rival”.
Fancy Gadam, fondly called ‘King of the North’ is out with a 13 track album named the ‘DREAM’ which features Stonebwoy, Kwesi Arthur, Kofi Mole, Kuame Eugene, among others. The first song off the album, ‘Ebe ye Yie’ already has 30k views on youtube since its release two days ago.
