Former Highly Spiritual artiste, Yaw Berk, has said that while with the record label owned by Kaywa, he produced only two songs in two years.
He said he was so talented that he had a lot in him and that his fans could not wait for him for that long to be releasing songs.
Speaking to Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM on Monday, he noted that even though he acknowledges the contribution of Kaywa in his music career, he thought it was time to move on.
“It was a mutual agreement. I wanted to push my songs far and I think this investor can help, you guys should solve it, I don’t know what happened so I had to drop the song. The song can’t be there because I’ve had only 2 songs in 2 years, my fans know they can’t be waiting like that,” he said.
Yaw Berk has been in news lately for saying he slept in Kaywa’s bug-infested studio while he was signed under Highly Spiritual.
He has however apologised for that statement and has explained that he did not say that to disrespect his former boss.
According to him, the video that went viral only captured his part of answering the question and that his former manager, Kaywa said some things from which the presenter picked questions for him to answer.
“That video that went viral trending I’ll say the video showed only my part of the story.”
“The man may be ein eno dey stay the studio there sef for a whole day so I’m not saying this to disgrace him or tarnish his image,” he explained.
He added that he informed Kaywa about the bedbugs but nothing was done before he decided to leave.
He said he apologized to everyone who feels offended and that when he gets to the apex of his promotion, he will go in person to go and apologize to his former boss.
”I personally apologized for my choice of words maybe it was due to anger and all of that. I know some hate me, some like me because of this. Don’t like me, don’t hate me because you don’t know the issue but I just apologized to everyone who feels offended,” he stated.
