Former Highly Spiritual Music artiste, Yaw Berk has told Sammy Flex of Zylofon FM in an interview what went on be when he wanted to leave the label.
He said he felt he was not promoting enough songs for the music market and that he was not told promotion of songs by all artistes under the label would be in turns.
“It wasn’t stated in the contract. It wasn’t briefed in the contract,” he said.
“This is business. Artiste you for release every quarter like 3 songs. How consistent can you be if you don’t have songs going outside there? So it’s not like I was being impatient but that’s my work. I don’t do anything else, I’ll be idle if I’m not doing anything,” he explained.
He also revealed that Kaywa wanted to take Ghc. 50, 000 from Inner Heights Entertainment, a record label that wanted to work with him.
“I brought Inner Heights Entertainment to talk to highly Spiritual music and it seems it didn’t go amicable. According to Inner Heights boss, Kaywa demanded some amount that is outrageous for him so he feels like he can’t do it so I should rather talk to him like father and son so that even if he can lease me off let me work faster or harder, try and maybe pay the amount you asked for but it still didn’t get to his head. He still didn’t like it so the people were like no, I can’t handle you with issues,” he narrated.
Berk continued that even though he does not have a contract with Inner Heights they shot the video of his new song ‘Armed Robber’, an indication that they were ready to help.
