Xenophobic attacks in South Africa: Rapper AKA calls for peace

South African rapper AKA has called for peace following the recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa and the social media tirade between Nigerians and South Africans.

AKA has been mauled in the past few hours over a tweet he posted two months ago about South Africa’s loss to Nigerian in the African Cup of Nations.

The tweet which resurfaced in the wake of talks about xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa has raised hackles among citizens from both countries on social media.

Nigerian artists like Burna Boy has even threatened AKA’s life and asking that he reinforces his security.

In the meantime, AKA has in a string of tweets, called for peace among all Africans.
