Actress Juliet Ibrahim has disclosed on the Delay Show that she first met her ex-husband, Kwadwo Safo at a strip club.
According to her, she was trying to fit into the family in order to be accepted and it is a good thing the marriage did not work.
She said her former in-laws already knew about her acting career and that that was not a contributing factor to the break of the marriage as rumoured.
“Well, rumours will be rumours. I didn’t hear it from them, my ex-husband didn’t tell me that. In the beginning, he knew who I was before he chased me or came to me so I don’t think that was his problem. If that was the problem they had, they should’ve told me but nobody came to tell me anything so rumours are just rumours,” she said.
“I was 24 years old when we decided to be together so we were very young people and I’m the kind of person that I work with what I have so if he had put all these things down on a table for me I will know how to handle things and I will know what to do.
She said the only things they had little talks about were kissing roles she played in movies
“So I even started controlling the kind of roles I take and stuff because of my own judgment based on maybe it’s not good for the family and being who the father is and stuff like that.
When asked if she was trying to fit into the family she said yes and added that “well everything happens for a reason and we believe that we’re better off apart than together”
“But you know the funny thing? The first time my ex-husband saw me was in a strip club”
“He came there. He knew what he signed up for,” she added.
