Local Jesus Mmebusem has said his former manager, Salinko threatened him after their ‘fight’.
This fight is believed to have been sparked by money but both Salinko and Mmebusem have denied it.
Salinko has suggested that Mmebusem is not humble and in response, Mmebusem said Salinko is more arrogant as compared to him and that the tone with which he speaks to him is not of a humble person.
Salinko in an interview ghanaweekend.com refuted claims that he is arrogant and added that there was no contract signed and that the role he played in the series brought him fame but no money.
He said Salinko cursed him and directed him not to ever wear the ‘Jesus’ flock costume used while working under him.
Although he acknowledge that Salinko introduced him to the current “fame” he is enjoying, Mmebusem said he would still have been successful without Salinko’s series.
“It’s not money related issue. We didn’t know this will trend until it started trending and ‘greed’ came in; I can’t tell if it’s his fault or mine but I want everyone to listen and make judgments. Maybe he wants to trend too but he shouldn’t go from platform to platform singing his own appellations. Days ago he called me asking if I’m still arrogant or not. And the kind of questions and his intonation even depicts he’s more arrogant than I am,” he said.
“He said he went to Bible Society for correct voice so I said I have no problem. He made me famous but it’s left with money so if he’ll make me appear on the Boys Abre again, it’s for money this time,” he added.
When asked if his contract with Salinko has ended, he replied, “We didn’t sign a contract. This is what usually brings such issues – ‘He’s my friend so I’m just helping him.’ If we did, I’d have known the amount I am to get after every episode or scene,” he explained.
“I have a recording of him cursing me because of the robe. He threatened me with Antoa…At the right time, I can push the audio to you,” he said.
He said he has sewn the same robe which he is using and Salinko recently called someone to ask if he was seen in the robe even after he returned the original one to him.
