Serwaa Amihere has received some backlash on Twitter for her criticism Kofi Kapito’s ‘appalling’ comments about her body at the RTP Awards night.

On Saturday, when Kofi Kapito, the CEO of the Consumer Protection Agency, who was on stage to present an award made reference to Serwaa Amihere’s but saying: “ei Serwa Amihere, look at your butt, nice”.

Serwaa, who eventually won Female Newscaster of the Year, award, took offence to the inappropriate comments but said nothing on the night.

But she took to Twitter the next day to register her displeasure.

“I had so much respect for Mr Kofi Kapito. This is a classic case of sexual harassment. I’m appalled by his utterances. This was needless and completely disrespectful!” she tweeted.

A section of GH Twitter, however, disagree with the way she doled out the criticism.

While some say she could have addressed the situation right after Kofi Kapito made the comments on Saturday, others also said she only reacted after she was directed to.
