After Fantana’s wardrobe malfunction that led to an unfortunate incident of flashing sanitary pad on stage while performing at the ‘Back to Taifa’ concert, she is about to embark on a sanitary pad project.
Rufftown/Blown GH artiste Fantana is set to embark on a menstrual hygiene campaign at Balogono Basic School with the Rotaract Club Adentan on Rotaract Club Adentan on Saturday, October 26 2019.
This act is to sensitise students on the use of pad and how to take care of oneself during the season of menstruation.
She’ll also use the opportunity to distribute to them sanitary pads just as the project name suggests; ‘Pad A Girl’
Speaking to Zion Felix she said “The campaign is to help girls who skip school during menstrual periods just to avoid embarrassment especially when they stain themselves with blood. This happens because they have no knowledge about sanitary towels whiles some of them also can’t afford it.”
