General Captain of the Black Stars of Ghana, Asamoah ‘Baby Jet’ Gyan has been left out of Kwesi Appiah’s list for the upcoming AFCON 2021 qualifier game against South Africa and São Tomé.
Gyan, who has had an on and off relationship with the head coach of the Black Stars in the past few months.
However, recently, he scored his debut league goal for his new side NorthEast United in the Indian Super League after securing a summer move.
Gyan, 35, became a free agent after his contract with Turkish team, Kayserispor, ended in June.
It is unclear why Baby Jet has been omitted from the Black Stars squad as the team receives some new faces ahead of the AFCON 2021 qualifiers against South Africa and São Tomé.
Ghana will face South Africa on November 14, before travelling to São Tomé days later to take them on.
