Seasoned gospel musician Pastor Joe Beecham has revealed that he that he picked a lot of inspiration from his mother while growing up.
He told Nana Tuffour Boateng on Citi TV’s Saturday Live that his style of music and longevity in music ministry was borne out of inspiration he had from his mother.
“Growing up my mother used to sing and still does; she sings songs of prayer when she goes into prayer, she wakes up at midnight and begins to pray and to sing and because of trials she went through, these were her real, actual and genuine prayers,” he said.
This, he said, informed the prayer songs he composed.
“These were the songs I knew growing up and as I became spiritual and started ministering in songs at a very tender age. I realised that something was in-born. Maybe I had picked it when I was in her womb, I want to carry people’s burden and give to God,” he added.
Pastor Joe Beecham is noted for inspirational songs like ‘Reflections’, ‘Aseda’, ‘Let the Fire Fall’ ‘Hope of My Life’ and ‘Oye’.
