Internationally recognized female Disc Jockey, Erica Armah Bra-Bulu Tandoh known by the stage name DJ Switch has revealed why she won the ‘Best DJ of the Year’ award at the 2019 Ghana DJ Awards.
In an interview with Zionfelix’s ‘Uncut’ show, she said she deserved the award and that she knew winning it was going to make DJ Vyrusky and DJ Black proud of her.
“I think I got the award because of the hard work. I’ve kept pushing and pushing and pushing. I started with Discovery DJ of the year, I pushed, I pushed I got 4 nominations this year and I won the Best DJ of the year,” she said.
When Zion Felix asked if that meant she did better than all the other DJs she was in the category with, she replied, “I didn’t do better than them. They’re the senior DJs but I think I got the award because of God. I prayed I talk to my God that I need the Best DJ Of The Year and my God granted me the wish.”
She beat DJ Mic-Smith, DJ Vyrusky, DJ Sly, DJ Aroma and DJ Black to the overall best DJ of the year.
She shot to fame after winning the 2017 TV3 Talented Kidz title and has been performing on big stages, meeting honourable people including Bill Gates and many others.
