While some musicians grow locs as part of their brand, Kwamina’s reason for doing the same is different.
According to him, his locs was not planned but rather it came out of hardship.
In an interview with Delay, Quamina MP has said that his hairstyle is the way it is now because he didn’t have money to shave his hair.
“I didn’t plan it. It just happened. I didn’t have money to buy a comb, I didn’t have money to go to the barbershop,” he noted.
“When I say it people don’t believe but that’s the story behind this (referring to the hair). I didn’t get money to go to the barber shop” he reiterated
He said because he was not combing or shaving for a while it became what it is now.
He said his father used to complain from the start but he’s now in agreement with it.
