Worlasi is set to roll out the fourth instalment of his annual ‘Worlafest’ on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at the Alliance Francais in Accra.
Worlafest which started in 2016 was always an avenue for new artists to showcase their talent until exhibitions of drawings, paintings, poetry, beads and other fascinating works of arts were introduced to the event last year.
The rapper who also doubles as an artist captured the hearts of fans since he came into the limelight on coke studio in 2017 when he teamed up with Kenya’s Saudi Sol and Nigeria’s Chidinma on a beautiful performance.
Touching on the blend of arts and music at the previous Worlafest, he said patrons had a good time and that more of that should be expected this year.
“Everyone loves music, so it is easy for people to attend music shows but that same patronage can’t be guaranteed for art exhibitions and so as a musician and artist, I decided to blend them and patrons at last year’s event had a good time with both experiences.
“The art exhibitions were well patronized and it brought to the fore how this form of arts could also draw attention but rather it is relegated to the background,” he told Graphic Showbiz.
Worlasi Langani has been praised by many industry persons for his style of music and writing skills. Among these praise singers is the talented Trigmatic who described Worlasi’s music writing skills as amazing
