Fuse ODG’s new song ‘Osu’ which features Toyboi touches on working at night on the street.
He explained the song is not endorsing prostitution but just calling for women to be protected and that whenever the situation is good, women are not included but when it’s bad, woman are then mentioned.
According to him, no woman is on the streets because they wanted to be there and that they need to be protected and helped to achieve their aims since they use that as stepping stone to their next level in life.
While premiering his EP on Zylofon FM, Sammy Flex asked to know if the song he explained the inspiration behind the song.
“They say this girl sleeps around too much but she sleeps with a man. That means the man sleeps around too but it’s always the woman that gets the stake for it and even it’s funny but in the Bible, they never mention the woman. They say the Father, the son of the Holy Spirit. Whenever it’s good they leave the woman out and when it’s and they bring back the woman into the picture,” he said.
He said because of this, women need to be protected because it’s not just them – the customer is usually a man.
“First of all nobody does that because they want to. I’ve done a lot of readings on it and a lot of the women are like they’re not doing it cos they enjoy doing. They’re doing it because it’s stepping stone for them,” further noted.
He said women should not be treated unfairly all because they ended up on the streets as prostitutes.
“The fact that they get forced into this profession it shouldn’t be frowned upon. In fact, there should be laws protecting them so they are not placed in situations where they are vulnerable and in danger,” Fuse told Sammy Flex.
“I support the protection and equal rights for women in every sector and again, whether we like it or not it’s happening so why don’t we do the best that we can to protect these women because it actually affects all of us. If the man, goes the woman is too scared to do things properly and she ends up doing it with no protection because they wanna quickly before they get arrested. We’re all in danger cos this man now goes home to his wife and now the kids are all in danger” he reiterated when the host wanted a clear understanding of whether he is supporting prostitution.
