Highlife artiste, Dada Hafco has said he is not in a rush to judge the performance of the president, Nana Akufo-Addo.
He said he is waiting for him to make it through 2020 to be able to tell if he deserves another term.
Hafco who was one of the showbiz people who publicly campaigned for the NPP and Nana Addo.
In an interview with Zion Felix on the ‘Uncut’ show, this ensued:
Zion: Let’s hear your final words before you leave. Even if you have something to tell the president about how things are going, tell him.
Dada Hafo: We’re praying.
Zion: Are you okay with him? You were part of the people…
Dada Hafco: Oh yeah, of course, I campaigned for him.
Zion: Have you regretted?
Dada Hafco: No I haven’t.
Zion: Will you still campaign for him?
Dada Hafco: Ermm I’ll give him up to 2020
Zion: It’s almost 2020. We’re in the campaign season.
Dada Hafco: I think he’s okay but I feel he could’ve done better so let’s allow him do the one year two months left for him then we decide if we will have a change of mind.
Zion: Then you’re not the kind of people who vote or campaign based on the party or person but you campaigned based on the policies.
Dada Hafco: Yeah. I supported him from 2008 and it was because of his policies. He never had the chance to be President until 2016 so this is a better time for me to judge his performance so after 2020 I’d (know what to do).
He concluded by saying times are hard and that is the only reason majority of Ghanaians are complaining and that if he is paid to do campaign songs for any party, the money involved and the clauses surrounding the deal could motivate him to do it.
