Adina Thembi Ndamse popularly known as Adina has explained the reason for her recently adopted African look.
According to the Ghanaian- South African singer, most people mistake her to be a ‘foreigner’ because of her skin colour.
She said people usually ask her if she is a Nigerian and sometimes others also ask if she is really a Ghanaian.
She disclosed that due to situations of that kind, she dresses and wears hairstyles to look more African.
Speaking to Abeiku Santana on the Atuu show, she was asked if people ever ask of she’s a Ghanaian and she replied: “There have been times people asked me whether I’m a Nigerian or if I’m not a Ghanaian.”
“It’s one of the reasons I put in more efforts into looking very African. That’s why you see me wearing braids and sometimes hairstyles of olden days just to keep it local” she added.
