American Mixed Martial Artist and former collegiate wrestler and current MMA world champion Bubba Jenkins is expected to touch down in Ghana on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.
The reigning brave combat confederation champion, who has traced his roots back to the nation [Ghana], is excited about his homecoming and he can’t wait to taste famous Ghana jollof rice.
In a video, Bubba is seen super excited about his trip home. He mentions the reason he is coming home is to see some of the things his dad did in Ghana before his death and also his Great Grandparents are from Ghana so it is only right he visits the motherland.
“My father died in Ghana so I am coming to see some of the things that he did, some of the places he was at. I am also coming to get some of the famous Ghana Jollof and hang out with my boy Shatta Wale. It is going to be an exciting homecoming.”
According to him he became a Shatta Wale fan after his collaboration with Beyonce on the Lion King album, he also showered praises on Ghana music in general and how is it making waves in America.
Bubba Jenkins’ trip to Ghana will give him the chance to interact and inspire the youth in addition to doing some good charity initiatives.
This event is also to enable him to connect with his homeland as part of the ‘Year of Return’ celebration
