Ghanaian musician, Wiyaala has won Ghanaian Artiste of The Year at the maiden edition of Arts and Culture Awards held in Accra International Conference Center on December 7.
In her thanksgiving speech, she said this is a sign that she is doing something good and that she would be relentless in making Ghana proud.
“I want to say a big thank you to everybody for this award. When I started, it was not easy and for a young girl like me, I was a bit confused. I thought I was probably doing something undesirable little did I know this day will come” she said
“And I am very honoured to be among great artistes that I have been nominated with. I respect every artiste and I’ll say this is a motivation for me to keep going. I know I am on the right path. I know Ghana has my back. Thank you and I’ll keep making everybody and Ghana proud,” she added
Wiyaala Noella is Afro-pop singer, a songwriter who often combines languages in her songs. She sings in her native language Sissala and Waala dialects and English.
She is an award-winning artiste known for songs including ‘Leno’, ‘Tinambanyi’, ‘Sun & Moon’ and many others
