Although most people see comedy as an easy task, comic actor Clemento Suarez has debunked this erroneous thought.

Clemento, also a rapper, has disclosed that music comes easily to him as compared to comedy.

He said unlike it is generally assumed, comedy is difficult because it requires one to be smarter than the audience and also be extra creative to come up with great comic expressions.

While ‘In Shot’ on Ghana Weekend TV, he was asked which of the two arts come to him easily and he replied, “I’ll say music. Comedy is difficult. With comedy, you have to study the system and be smarter than your audience so I’d say you want to talk about an outbreak or an accident or something you have to say something that nobody else has thought of because now everybody knows everything at the same time. Because of social media, everything’s there for everybody so you have to go extra to hit your punchline otherwise everybody knows what you’re saying.”

“So it’s very difficult, you need to crack [sic] your brains a lot to get it but for music, you just rhyme and then you have a song,” he added

Clemento Suarez, by real name, Clement Ashiteye, however, noted that comedy in Ghana is gaining grounds in recent time and in about two to three years, it would be really big.
