Popular ‘bet god’, Oswald, has asked twitter to verify his account to protect followers from being frauded.
The gentleman became popular on twitter because of sharing his expertise in betting.
He got a lot of followers on twitter and telegram where he shares odds for staking bet.
Although the campaign to end betting amongst the youth in Ghana has been at its peak, it rather seems the amount of education and advocacy has not scratched the surface.
Since forming the group, he shared odds which followers religiously staked with hopes of winning but only ‘ended in tears’ with lots of people bleeding.
Despite the disappointment, he has been quite relevant and has been interviewed on shows while others have also booked him to appear on their show to talk betting.
In the spirit of enjoying his fame, he has taken to twitter to ask that his account be verified to protect his followers from being deceived by fake accounts.
“Dear
@Twitter
@verified
@jack
@TwitterSupport
,
My account gaining public interest recently caused people to create fake accounts posing as me for fraudulent purposes.
Verifying my account would save more people from being scammed and protect my reputation as well. Do consider,” he tweeted

He added that he has had to report the fake accounts to no avail.
“I and others have reported these but more keep coming up.
Your swift action will be greatly appreciated”
This call, however, is not one that his tweeps are agreeing to.
