Mr Eazi’s annual event, Detty Rave came off this year at the Untamed Empire venue, Spintex just last night through to early hours of today.
Although the Year of Return and the Christmas has made the whole of Accra and beyond so busy and choked with events, Detty Rave was fully packed.
At 5pm, the gates were opened and audience were verified to come in by the tight security at the venue.
You could tell the audience came for various reasons. While some came in dinner wears and heels, others chose jeans and sneakers, with some rocking pieces of beautiful clothes that showed so much flesh.
There was display or art, lots of foods for sale, Mr Eazi’s water, free photo shoot from ciroc and the decoration of the venue with old cars and stuff, it was really a dirty affair! Those who came to speak ‘slangs’ were in their numbers while others who came to just eat and have fun did just that.
The social media ‘gbes’ were not left out- just take a picture and add the hashtag. It was really a dirty affair.
The first performance was at 8:45 but by then, the audience was spread out and some were nowhere close to the venue.
At 11:22pm, Mr Eazi took the microphone and artistes took turn to join him on stage; Sarkodie, Joey B, King Promise, Kidi did their thing.
And that was when the audience forced to have a better spot to view. At the gate, they tried forcing their way in which caused a little commotion at the gate.
It was resolved quickly so those who weren’t around the gate wouldn’t know.
Performance after performance, you could see that the audience was thrilled.
Aside from the already mentioned artistes, Kranium, Rick Ross, Simi, Koffee, Fameye, Tulenkey, Joeyboy, J Derobie and a lot more others made sure the audience were thrilled.
