December is the month that climaxes the theme for the year which is ‘Year of Return’.
This year 2019, was declared the year of return by the President of the nation, His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo to mark 400 years the last slave ship took slaves out of the country.
This reached the Ghanaians in the diaspora and most of them have come down to get in touch with their heritage. There are many events lined up towards the climax of this historic year and one of these events is the Year of Return comedy show.
The show is geared towards entertaining our brothers and sisters who have come from the diaspora and bridge the gap using humour as a tool of connecting them to their home country.
The show also seeks to use the opportunity to sell Ghana comedy to the world.
Performing acts include DKB, Comedian Khemikal, Id James Brown, Jacinta, Comedian Ob and Lekzy DeComic. There would also be music performances by Bisa K’dei and Dope Nation.
Tickets are selling for 60GHC regular and 100GHC VIP. Year of return comedy night is happening at the Alisa Hotel. Ridge on Wednesday, January 1 2020. Time is at 7 pm sharp.l.
