Kuami Eugene says releasing ‘Turn Up’ same time as Mzvee’s ‘Sherrif’ was mere coincidence

Lynx Entertainment signee, Kuami Eugene has refuted claims that he released his new song to kill attention for ex-label mate, Mzvee’s song.

Eugene released ‘Turn Up’  just two days after Mzvee dropped her new song, ‘Sheriff’ and it got people talking that it was just to divert attention from her since she is no more with Lynx Entertainment.

According to Eugene, what happened was just a coincidence and nothing more.

Speaking to MzGee on TV3 Show Buzz, he found the ‘ex-label mate’ to be too strong of a word to use in describing the songstress.

“that ex thing (word) is too strong for me. She’s still a sister “ he pointed

“I didn’t even know she was about to release a song cos we all have plans we put down that 2020, this year you’ll release this, this time you’ll release this, this month you’ll release this. So if I were to be on one day, what would you have said?” he quizzed

Touching on Mzvee’s health issues, he disclosed he was closer to Kidi and Dope Nation than he was with Mzvee and so there was no way he could have known she suffered depression.
